Roles & Responsibilities

• Planning and Project Management.
• Preparation of detailed designs, specifications for construction drawings of hydraulic structures viz., barrages, weirs, dams, hydroelectric power plants, intake and jack wells, distribution chambers, pump house, canal structures, etc.
• Provide technical and consultancy services related to design, estimates and preparation of report.
• Develop project specific QAP / QC for both preparation of designs, drawings and estimates and for project management and supervision.
• Liaison with clients to obtain approvals.
• Develop and implement work flow systems, procedures, check lists, templates and standards.
• Review, improve and optimize existing work flow systems.
• Undertake site visits, if required.
• Preparation of cost estimates and tender document.

Skills and Knowledge

• Good communication skills.
• Autocad, MS office, STAAD Pro.
• Adopt latest technology methods.
• Design as per IS codes and Specifications required by the client.

Experience: 3+ years

Qualification: B.E(Civil)/ M.Tech(Structures)

Skills Required:

• Plan & design hydraulic/ hydrologic structures.
• Irrigation methodologies and practice.
• Cost estimates and managing project budgets.
• Design water or wastewater lift stations, including water wells.
• Analyze the efficiency of water delivery structures, such as dams, canals, & pipes.
• Design pumping systems, pumping stations, pipelines, force mains, or sewers for the collection of wastewaters.

• Liaison with clients, contractors, government agencies, local authorities and suppliers.
• Designing sewer improvement plans or flood defense programmes, and associated structures, such as pumping stations, pipework and earthworks (the scale may range from an initial outline to a full, detailed design.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)  Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering

Experience: 5 to 8 Years

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage planning, design, and execution of infrastructure and hydraulic projects
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and designs for:
  • Pump houses, intake wells, jack wells, and intake / delivery chambers, surge tanks (hydraulic and structural design).
  • Valve chambers, thrust blocks, anchor blocks, pedestal and pipe crossings.
• Draft construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD Pro.
• Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for technical approvals.
• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAP/QC) procedures.
• Establish and maintain engineering checklists, workflow systems, and standards.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction.
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes and project-specific technical standards.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and detailing
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design as per IS codes
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards, and specifications
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adopt new technologies and continuously improve design practices
• Knowledge of surge analysis and surge protection devices
