Design and preparation of drawings, BOQ and tender documents for 15km. Raw Water Pipeline in Kakinada from Elluru Canal to the Gas Processing Plant. It is planned to tap raw water required for the gas processing plant (approx. 2 MLD) from Elluru canal located about 15 km upstream of terminal. E I Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (EIT) was appointed to submit Detailed Engineering Design involving design of intake structure, Raw Water Pipeline and Pumping Main including preparation of Construction Drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.

Project DescriptionSouparnika River Project-Investigation, Survey, preparation of Designs, Drawings, Estimates and DPR for Bridge cum Barrage across Souparnika river to provide irrigation facilty to 5000 acres of command area and water supply schemes to 10 villages. The scheme envisages diversion of 1.12 TMC of water by constructing a Bridge com Barrage across Souparnika river near Edurbail of Alur village, Kundapur taluk, Udupi district and feeding 3 major nalas on left flank of the river by pumping, providing drinking water facility to 10,000 population of Alur, Bada, Nada, Navunda and surrounding villages and providing irrigation facility to 1730 Ha (4725 Acres) of lands of Kundapur taluk of Udupi district including road connectivity from Chittoor to Betiyane. The farmers of Alur, Kallodu, Navunda, Nada, Bada and surrounding villages of Kundapur taluk, Udupi district and the local MLA have represented to the Government of Karnataka that a barrage may be constructed across Souparnika river at a suitable location to store water to provide both for water supply to villages and to irrigate their lands. Honorable Chief Minister, Govt. of Karnataka has issued the proceedings to take up the project under Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Limited videl letter No. CM/1278/SIP/2009 dated 04-08-2009.

Project Nameconstruction of Barrage and Lift system across Bennihalla
Project DescriptionKarnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd. (KNNL), a Govt. of Karnataka Undertaking is planning to harness Benni Halla by Constructing a Barrage to augument the suffering Atchkat of 4192 Acres (1696.5) under Sub Distributary No. 17L of Ditributory No.6 of Naragund Branch Canal under Malaprabha Right Bank Canal. Consultancy Services for Investigation, Survey, Preparation of Drawings, Designs, Reports, Estimates and Detailed Project Report and DTP for construction of Barrage and Lift system across Bennihalla near Amargol village in Navalgund taluk, Dharward district. Major tributaries of Malaprabha River such as Jvalahalla, Tuparihalla, Bennihalla and Hirehalla are joining down stream of the Renuka Sagar Dam. All these Streams/Hallas are having sufficient catchment area and discharge. In addition substantial water from the canal leads to these streams and river as return flow from canals. KNNL is concerned about suffeing Atchkat under Sub-distributary No. 17L of Distributory No.6 of Naragund Branch Canal under Malaprabha right Bank Canal. Distributory No.6 is one of the major distributory under Naragund Branch Canal. The tail end reach from 3.00 onwards covering an ICA of 4192.0 Acre is identified as suffering atchkat.Hence it is planned to construct a lift system from proposed barrage near Amargol.The stored water during floods and return flow of MRBC distribution network in proposed Barrage will be lifted and delivered to Sub-Distributory No. 17L to cover suffering atchkat of 4192.0 Acres. The proposed Barrages across the Bennihalla will also enhance connectivity to the adjoining villages and can meet the needs of drinking water in the surrounding area. For avoiding submergence, the maximum water level due to storage / impounding will be restricted to the bank limits. The present report covers, proposal for constructing the barrage and across Benni Halla and lift system near Amargol village falling under Navalgund Taluk of Dharwad District. Office of the Chief Engineer, KNNL, Malaprabha Project Zone, Dharwad has commissioned E I Technologies Pvt. Ltd. to undertake the Preparation of Detailed Project Report including Investigation, Design, Cost Estimates and BOQ for the proposed barrage across Benni Halla and lift system near Amargol village.
